Jim Mazany is a 30 year restaurant veteran with experience in all aspects of the industry. Jim most recently served as the Chief Executive Officer of SPB Hospitality. SPB Hospitality is an industry leading operator and franchisor of full-service dining restaurants, spanning a national footprint of hundreds of restaurants and breweries in 39 states and the District of Columbia. The company’s diverse portfolio of restaurant brands includes Logan’s Roadhouse, J. Alexander’s Restaurant , Old Chicago Pizza & Taproom, and a collection of restaurant-brewery brands, including Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery and Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant. SPB Hospitality also operates a collection of specialty restaurant concepts including Stoney River Steakhouse & Grill, ChopHouse & Brewery, Big River Grille & Brewing Works, A1A Ale Works Restaurant & Taproom, Ragtime Tavern Seafood & Grill, Merus Grill, Redlands Grill, Overland Park Grill and Seven Bridges Grille & Brewery.
Prior to SPB Hospitality, Jim served as COO of TGI Fridays, where he successfully led the purchase and integration of more than 125 franchise restaurants into the company system in a 12-month period of time.
Jim previously worked as the CEO of Café Enterprises and President and COO of Joe’s Crab Shack, where he led the successful turnaround of the business, including seven consecutive years of same-store sales improvement. In 2015, Mazany launched his consulting firm, Strategic Restaurant Solutions.
He attended the Culinary Institute of America as well as Southern Methodist University – Cox School of Business and has leveraged his experience and executive platform to support multiple charitable causes fundraising over $10M throughout his career.
